It came about from the construction of a mine, whose works were done to dry out a marshy field. During the 1840s, its hot water was channelled underground to some bath houses, which were the origins of the Prats and Soler Thermal Spas. The water from the hot spring source was bottled for the consumption of Prats Thermal Spa under the name \u201cPrats Thermal Spa Water\u201d by Soler Thermal Spa as \u201cCatalonia Hot Spring Source\u201d until both were merged under the name \u201cMalavella Water.\u201d Finally, in 1985 it was acquired by the company Vichy Catalan.<\/p>\n<p>La Mina Hot Spring Source or Raig d\u2019en Mel is built on a wall with tuff stone, where there is a fixed metal spring. The washing places nearby fill with water that runs over, and throughout the county this thermal water enjoyed much fame due to its suitability for casting.
